I love the variety of views. The morning glories have a stunning color. When I smoked-quit 24 years ago-I would never dream of dropping an empty pack on the ground. Likewise for putting one out on the street and grinding it with my shoe. Inconsiderate people ruin it for the rest of us. Good for you to pick up the stuff. Looking forward to your next entry.

Hi Vicki, There was a time in my life when I too was an inconsiderate. When I smoked for many years, the world was my ashtray. It wasn’t until over 28 years ago when I got sober, then quit smoking, that I learned different and changed who I had been into what I have become now. Picking up OPT’s (Other People’s Trash) on my walks could be considered part of my atonement for those years of “ruining it for the rest of us”. So many would rather complain about what they see than take it upon themselves to do something about it.

I remember many years ago when “No Littering” and “Pitch In” signs were everywhere with a 200 dollar fine for anyone caught littering. What happened to those signs? It’s a totally different world now. I feel often that we are de-volving. 😔
